Snow White, Singing Deers, and the Holidays

Share it Please
Today is going to be a very busy day.

I ate breakfast and now I have to do school until noon. At noon, I'll ate lunch, brush my teeth, hop in the car, and drive to my school for dress rehearsal.

By this point you might be a little confused why I said I have to school this morning (at my house) and then go to my school. Here's your answer. I'm home schooled three days a week, then the other two I go to the "learning center". It's called a hybrid school and I really love it! In fact, it's one of the only hybrid schools in Indiana. Pretty cool, huh?

Anyways, I'm in the drama club and on Friday at 6:30 and Saturday at 2:30, we're performing Snow White. We've been practicing since the end of September every Thursday night from 4-6. Which means I'm at school for 8 in the morning to 6 at night. >:( I really don't like those 10 hour days. Okay, that was off topic. A few weeks ago, we started practicing on Friday nights to from 4-5:30. Last Saturday I was there for another 2 hours and today I have to be at the school from 1-5! Ugh. I'm really not looking forward to it.

Good thing this the penultimate practice. I'm not nervous at all, because I'm just ready for the play to be over! As much as I complain, though, I'm planning on being the spring play. Go figure.

I think all this practicing would've been way more worth it if I had a bigger part. I'm a maid and a singing deer in case you wanted to know. And Snow White is very hard to accompany when she sings, so we should get more credit than we do. Oh well. At least it'll be fun to dress up like a deer. ;)

So that's pretty much my day. No time for recipe creating unfortunately. Things will probably be pretty hectic around here until winter break starts. Or at least the week before it starts (which is December 21st). So I'll try to get my baking in on the weekends. Maybe I'll perfect my molasses cookies or make Muddy Buddies. I don't know. I just hope I have enough time. And on top of that, I still need to get my Christmas shopping done! Aaahh! How I'm going to do all this in the course of the next two and a half weeks, I do not know.

Well I hope you all have a great peaceful week, even though mine will not be! ;)

Inquiry of the Day:

Are you doing anything exciting over the holidays?

We're doing the usual: Christmas Eve service at church, dinner with the grandparents, presents Christmas morning, and brunch. It's simple, but I like it. Plus we have family coming in from up north this year!

  1. Wow that is a lot of rehearsing! But I bet that means you guys will be pretty awesome. Good luck this weekend =)
I recently moved from Ontario Canada, to California so I'm excited to be going back and spending the holidays with my family (originally we didn't think we'd be able to).
I like keeping it relaxed as well.
